The Federation of the Left was born this December as a result not of division but of a merger (PRC, the Italian Communists, Socialists and 2000 Forum for the European Left).
Topics of discussion are the proposed work and the environment. In particular the conference (01/01/2010) presentation of programmatic alliance Claudio Burlando were presented with three themes:
- Job protection: the region in the last legislature made permanent contract for all its employees and atypical to stimulate the same process in the private sector, providing incentives from 5 to 12 000 € per employee regularized;
PUBLIC WATER: the Federation of the Left will, along with Claudio Burlando, actively combat the drift that is leading to water privatization at the national level, encouraging municipalities to directly manage their water resources ;
- ALTERNATIVE ENERGY: It is absurd and dangerous to bet on nuclear power with twenty years of lagging behind other countries, better get better expertise in the field of alternative energy sector for example in Germany is seven hundred thousand people;
If they can say the pillars on which the program of the Federation, shared by Burlando, the rest can and should discuss, should ask people. Beyond the cliches to build new places-in-common. This is a subject that can provide a lifeline to the left party, unless it is crossed by new people with fresh energy and vitality from making a political project under construction.
